    Let me express my thanks and pride at being invited to take up a role as Senior Adviser
in the Practical English Phonetic Society of Japan, [?pepsi]. There has long been enthusiasm

我が国の英語教育が「4 技能5 領域」となって以来、英語の音声教育の支柱は
「英語音声学」です。この新しい学会が、英語音声学の理論研究はもとより、英語教育との
連携を強め、現場の授業向上に実践的に貢献できる学会になることを期待します。

とって何よりも嬉しく思いますのは、新学会名に「実践」という語があることです。
